Reach trucks VENI VRT et al.
Reach trucks were invented almost half a century ago and evolved as the warehousing industry explored ways to increase storage density. These trucks are very different from conventional counterweight forklifts as they are specially designed to work in narrow aisles/on pallet storage racks. The basic reach truck is equipped with outriggers at the front and telescopic forks using the Reach FW / Reach BKW hydraulic mechanism, which allows the driver to lift the load and pull it through the outriggers. This reduces the overall length of the truck and cargo, allowing you to turn in a narrower passage.
The use of reach trucks would literally transform warehouse operations, since more storage racks could be placed in the same space. High operating speeds and powerful batteries allow reach trucks to provide high efficiency and throughput when transporting pallet loads over medium and long distances (more than 70 m) and to medium and high levels of racks (up to 12 m).
